Both teams to score at Verona vs Pescara 10/11 for Wednesday’s Serie B play-off showdown

Market: Both teams to score

Odds:

Two sides looking to book a Serie A return this season, Verona will welcome Pescara to the Stadio Marc Antonio Bentegodi on Wednesday night.

Starting with the hosts, after needing extra-time to come past a struggling Perugia last weekend, Alfredo Aglietti will be growing more concerned by his sides form heading into the semi-finals. Despite briefly believing that they could make a push for the automatic places entering 2019, Verona have shown some real signs of a struggle at the back end of the season. Wednesday s hosts managed to record just one victory in their final nine Serie B appearances, a run that stems all the way back to the start of March. A huge part of Verona s issues at the back end of the year has been their continued defensive struggles. Aglietti s men have now failed to record a single clean sheet in any of their last 11 outings and have remarkably failed to keep a clean sheet against Pescara since 2010.

As for the visitors, after picking up a 2-0 win against an already relegated Salernitana on their final Serie B matchup of the season, there is no doubt that Head Coach Giuseppe Pillon will be desperate for his side to carry on that momentum. Enduring a five-match winless run prior to their victory last weekend, a huge part of their problem at the end of the year has come down to their struggles on the road. Wednesday s visitors have failed to pick up an away victory since the middle of February and Pillon will be calling on leading goalscorer Leonardo Mancuso to spearhead Pescara s Serie A charge. The Juventus loanee bagged 19 goals this season, the third best return of any player in Italy s second-tier.

Bet: Both teams to score at Verona vs Pescara 10/11 for Wednesday s Serie B play-off showdown
