Everybody in fantasy football has a draft list. I have two because, let’s face it, with the clock winding down, the heart can overpower the brain. That’s why it’s important to have that second list: Your dream team. A wish list of guys you want to remind yourself to consider before making any selection from your standard draft list.Because fantasy football is designed to be fun. Winning helps assure that. But winning with a team you enjoy watching is a twin killing. That doesn’t mean go out and draft a bunch of guys from your favorite team. One will suffice … especially if he’s on my list of 2024’s Desirable Dozen:QB C.J. Stroud, TexansThe Texans have so many weapons, it’s hard to project who will outperform who. Chances are, it’ll be someone different each week, and that’s not fantasy-friendly. But this is: The guy leading the most powerful offensive team in the league. That guy is Stroud.QB Jayden Daniels, Commanders Aug 17, 2024; Miami Gardens, Florida, USA; Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels (5) drops back to pass against the Miami Dolphins during the first quarter at Hard Rock Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Jim Rassol-USA TODAY Sports I’m not big on drafting (fantasy) backup quarterbacks, but there is one good reason to do it: To prevent another team from getting a potential star. Daniels is one of those guys: A late-round pick whose running ability makes him the ultimate low-risk, high-reward pick.RB Bijan Robinson, Falcons Jun 3, 2024; Atlanta, GA, USA; Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson (7) shown on the field during Falcons OTA at the Falcons Training facility. Mandatory Credit: Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports There’s little doubt this is the most talented running back in the NFL, a second coming of O.J. Simpson. He was a Top 10 back last season as a rookie while getting zero help. The Falcons actually have a quarterback this year, which means longer drives, more touches and twice as many touchdowns. Start engraving the Fantasy MVP trophy.RB De’Von Achane, Dolphins Oct 8, 2023; Miami Gardens, Florida, USA; Miami Dolphins running back De'Von Achane (28) looks on after scoring a touchdown against the New York Giants during the second quarter at Hard Rock Stadium. credits: Sam Navarro-USA TODAY Sports The Dolphins rank up there with the Texans on the list of: Teams From Which I Gotta Have At Least One Guy. Remember, this offense produced a Top 5 back (Raheem Mostert) last season who basically sat and watched when Achane was healthy. Will he get hurt again? He carried 38 times in his final college game at Texas A&M in 2022. Guess they weren’t worried about it.RB Zack Moss, BengalsMoss is the biggest reason you should focus on wide receivers early in your draft. In his eight starts last season, he twice rushed for 122 or more yards, twice got seven or more targets and three other times got 18 or more carries. He joins a more offensively potent team, is durable, can catch passes … and likely will be available in the eighth round.WR Drake London, Falcons Drake London catches a pass. source: Getty Images This is the consolation prize for those who don’t draft high enough to get his teammate, Robinson. London is as talented as they come, and the Falcons recognize this. He was targeted 227 times in his first two seasons and dropped just seven balls. Yet somehow only 141 connections were made. The aforementioned new QB (Kirk Cousins) should remedy that, setting the stage for London to be a first-round pick for years to come. This is the last year you’ll get him at a discount.WR Cooper Kupp, Rams Cooper Kupp is a cornerstone piece for the Los Angeles Rams. source: Getty Images The last time he was fully healthy, Kupp commanded 191 targets, caught 145 balls and scored 16 touchdowns. While Kupp was recovering from a serious ankle injury last season, Puka Nacua ran his patterns and got 160 targets, 105 catches and six TD’s. This year, Kupp is the healthier of the two, and he’s already demonstrated he’s the better of the two. So why is Nacua being drafted earlier?WR Brian Thomas, JaguarsWill the real Trevor Lawrence please stand up? Drafted to be a generational talent, Lawrence has suffered from the fact he had better wideouts at Clemson than he’s had in Jacksonville. That’s no longer the case. Lawrence throws a great deep ball and Thomas runs great deep patterns. It’s a match made in fantasy heaven.WR Jameson Williams, Lions Aug 19, 2023; Detroit, Michigan, USA; Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams (9) walks off the field after their pre-season game against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Ford Field. credits: Lon Horwedel-USA TODAY Sports Add the Lions to the list of teams with an embarrassment of riches in offensive talents. And now add one more. While defenses focus on stopping David Montgomery up the middle, Jahmyr Gibbs on the flanks, Sam LaPorta behind the linebackers and Amon-Ra St. Brown in the short zones … who’s left to run with the speedy Williams deep down the field? It’s their — and potentially your — secret weapon.TE Brock Bowers, Raiders Apr 26, 2024; Henderson, NV, USA; Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers speaks to the media at Intermountain Health Performance Center in Henderson, NV. credits: Candice Ward-USA TODAY Sports More and more NFL teams are using tight ends as weapons. That’s because more and more colleges are producing these unique talents. The best to come out of the college game – maybe ever – is Bowers. And he joins the perfect team – one that wants to run the ball and throw low-risk passes. A foot injury in camp is worth monitoring. With a clean bill of health, Bowers could lead all tight ends in catches … as your seventh-round pick.PK Brandon Aubrey, CowboysEvery season, two questions must be answered: Should I draft a kicker with my second-to-last pick, then a defense/special teams? Or vice versa? This year, the answers are the same: No and no. Aubrey is so good, he could change fantasy tradition. Do yourself a favor: Be the first to take a kicker. Some will laugh … until he drills a 60-yarder on Opening Day.Ravens defense/special teamsAnd speaking of fantasy tradition: This could be the first year where D/ST’s are drafted more for the ST than the D. Such is the potential ramification of the new kickoff rule, one that figures to benefit the most creative thinkers in the special-teams aspect of the game. Atop that list is John Harbaugh. And you get a quality defense to boot. That was the only change made by manager Mikel Arteta as the Gunners looked to restore their advantage over second-placed Manchester City to eight points.

Midfielder McTominay was hurt in the early stages of the Boxing Day fixture at Old Trafford, though stayed on for the remainder of the first half.
The Scotland international was replaced by Paul Pogba at the interval and was seen leaving the ground on crutches, a worrying sight for the Red Devils amid a busy festive period of fixtures.

New AS Roma coach Claudio Ranieri on Wednesday vowed to ditch the club s attractive style of play for a more results-based system.
Ranieri was speaking at his official unveiling after replacing Luciano Spalletti, who resigned from his post on Tuesday.
Roma, who were known for their expansive and attractive style of play under Spalletti, lost their opening two matches of the season and Ranieri insists he will focus on winning games rather than weaving pretty patterns.
Spalletti s Roma had a sparkling style of play, my philosophy is a little different, said the former Juventus and Chelsea coach.
I will bring my pragmatism to the team. This team needs a jolt because it s a team that needs to react straight away.

Thailand on Wednesday formally terminated its contract with national football coach Peter Reid, who is set to take up an offer to serve as assistant at Stoke.
Football Association of Thailand chairman Worawi Makudi said the decision was made in consultation with former Sunderland and Manchester City boss Reid, who still has three years left on his contract.
The Football Association of Thailand and Reid, who has shown his desire to work in the Premier League, have agreed to terminate the contract, Worawi said.
Reid took over the Thai national team in September 2008 on a four-year contract but a clause in his contract allowed him to leave if he received an offer from an English club.

Newcastle United have joined Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Saido Berahino, .
Spurs have been strongly linked with a move for the West Bromwich Albion star, with manager Mauricio Pochettino keen to pair him with England U21 teammate Harry Kane.
However, Newcastle have also thrown their hat into the ring after cooling their interest in Queens Park Rangers striker Charlie Austin.
Berahino broke into the Baggies first team in the 2013/14 campaign, and has since racked up seventy Premier League appearances for the club, scoring nineteen goals, a tally which includes a brace against champions Chelsea in the penultimate game of last season.

Everton full-back Leighton Baines may need another operation on his left ankle, according to manager Roberto Martinez, who described the injury as a disaster .
Speaking after Everton s 2-2 draw with Watford in the Premier League on Saturday, Martinez claimed Baines had looked stronger than ever before hurting the ankle he had surgery on in May.
Baines hurt his ankle at training on Friday and could miss over a month.
We don t know how long he will be out for but it has been a real disaster, Martinez said.
We were preparing for the Watford game and in training, he blocks the ball and it hits him in exactly the same place where he had surgery, with the unfortunate result that he s going to be out for a while.

Jose Mourinho insists his fiery identity as a coach will not change when he returns to football.
The former Chelsea, Inter and Real Madrid boss has been out of the game since being sacked by Manchester United in December.
Mourinho wants his next job to be in one of Europe s top-five leagues and is open to returning to England, where intense media interest has often accompanied his prickly demeanour.
An increasingly strained relationship with United star Paul Pogba preceded the Portuguese s departure from Old Trafford but Mourinho is not about to overhaul his personality.
You cannot lose your identity, you are who you are and honestly I am so happy with who I am, Mourinho told Sky Sports.
But there is a new period ahead of me, there is a new chal…
Adelaide United defender Michael Jakobsen sought assurances coach Marco Kurz would remain in charge before deciding to join the A-League club.
Jakobsen, 32, signed a two-year deal with the Reds in May after spending two seasons at Melbourne City.
But the star defender said he wanted to be sure he would be playing under Kurz, the German boss who was linked with an exit after just a year in charge in Adelaide.
That was one of my questions to the club – if he was going to stay and he is so I was very happy with that, Jakobsen told Omnisport.
There have been a lot of changes here in the A-League with coaches so I was eager to know if he was going to stay because I ve only heard positives about him, also from Johan [Absalonsen, former Adelaide attacker],…
Croatia striker Eduardo has signed a new long-term contract with Arsenal after making a successful comeback from a horrific injury which sidelined him for almost a year, the club announced.
The Brazilian-born forward broke his leg and dislocated his ankle in February 2008 but has this year re-established himself as a first-team regular at the Emirates.
Arsenal did not disclose the length of the deal, which was welcomed by Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.

The odds on England winning next year s World Cup were cut Friday after a draw that was seen as handing Fabio Capello s squad a comfortable introduction to the tournament.
England were placed in group C with the United States, Algeria and Slovenia with their opening match against the Americans, in Rustenburg on June 12.
Although the United States were arguably the strongest team England could have faced from a pool comprising qualifiers from North and Central America and Asia, England will be comforted by the fact that they will face them in their opening match in the city where they plan to base themselves.
Capello s men will then take on Algeria, regarded as the weakest of the five African teams in the tournament, in Cape Town, and Slovenia, who qualified via …
